  • How do I get involved with volunteering for Soldiers Reunion?

    First off, we are very happy that you are interested in helping with the reunion. If it is information you seek, please visit the Get Involved tab and then if you would like to apply you can visit the Applications tab, where you find an application to get involved.

  • Where does the money go that is raised from entry fees and vendors at Soldiers Reunion activities?

    These funds are put into a revolving account to pay for bands, entertainment, and cover the operational expenses of hosting the week-long series of events.

  • Is this a Catawba County event?

    Yes, it is, as the goal of Soldiers Reunion is to acknowledge the sacrifice and contributions that the men and women from Catawba County have made for our freedom.

  • Why does the Soldiers Reunion Crusin' event limit the cars to 1972 and earlier?

    In 1972 North Carolina Department of Transportation implemented one-way streets on the two main avenues in Newton. Prior to that kids and young adults would “cruise” downtown Newton on the weekends as a social activity. The Soldiers Reunion committee used that year as their limit.
