Volunteer Information
This is a great opportunity to volunteer as a scout troop, church group, or other organization group seeking community service work!! Volunteer one event, or multiples!! Any help is greatly appreciated!!
Volunteer Rules and Requirements:
As a volunteer, you are intentionally performing the tasks/duties you are assigned without receiving any sort of payment for your work, other than reasonable reimbursement of funds expended on your tasks/duties performed.
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Willing to take a preventive response course prior to being accepted as a volunteer.
Volunteer Job descriptions:Fund Development Committee: Help raise funds through gifts-in-kind, sponsorships, and direct donations, by going to local businesses to see if they would purchase a float, sponsor a high school band to come and perform, cover the expenses of a high school ROTC unit to be a color guard…the possibilities are endless.
Gate Worker: Working a roadblock/barricade (Cruisin’ and Reunion Day).
Vendor Setup and Organizing: Helping get Vendors-Exhibitors to their spot(s).
Info/Registration Tent(s): Helping with questions and registering people for various things (i.e. Car Cruisin’, Vendors, etc.)
Water Table/Tent(s): Distribute water to staff, volunteers, participants, & spectators (Car Cruisin’ & Reunion Day)
Relief Worker: Available to help at any job at a moment’s notice
